Zimbabwe's Mnangagwa in Zambia for meeting with Lungu

LUSAKA, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Friday arrived in Zambia for a consultative meeting with Zambian President Edgar Lungu, the Zambian government said.

Mnangagwa's plane arrived at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, Lusaka, in the morning for the one-day visit.

Zambian foreign minister Joseph Malanji told reporters that the Zimbabwean leader has not come for a state visit but an official one of a consultative nature.

The Zimbabwean leader is in Zambia for a wide range of bilateral issues, he added.

He is expected to return to Zimbabwe after meeting Lungu.
