Armed robbers kill policeman, free cell inmates in Ghana's capital: local media

ACCRA, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- A gang of suspected armed robbers on Sunday dawn attacked the Kwabenya District Police Headquarters in Accra Suburb, which accommodates the Kwabenya Police Station, killing an officer on duty, and freeing cell inmates, according to local media.

The number of inmates who were freed has not been confirmed, as the police is yet to make an official statement on the incident.
