LUSAKA, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- A Zambian minister on Sunday survived a road accident with minor injuries when a vehicle he was traveling in southern Zambia's Choma district overturned, the police said.
The accident happened in the early hours of Sunday as the vehicle of Southern Province Minister Edify Hamukale hit a pedestrian and lost control, causing the overturn, said police spokesperson Esther Mwaata-Katongo.
She said both the driver and the minister sustained minor injuries while the pedestrian sustained a deep cut on the forehead.
