BISHKEK, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan detained three members of an international terrorist organization planning to create an underground terrorist cell in the republic, the committee's press service reported on Monday.

The security officers detained citizens of one of the CIS countries born in 1989, 1964 and 1965, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to create underground cell of the international terrorist organization, the report said.

One of the detainees had been in the territory of Syria as part of an international terrorist organization and was wanted for committed crimes.

According to official figures, about 500 Kyrgyz citizens are in Syrian territory, among the ranks of international terrorist organizations. About 70 people have died in battle.
