PARIS, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- A French prosecutor on Tuesday demanded a four-year jail term for Jawad Bendaoud, the landlord who provided the apartment to extremists who killed 130 people in November 2015 in Paris.
The prosecutor also demanded a sentence for Mohamed Soumah, believed to be the middleman between the terrorists and Bendaoud, of four years in jail on charges of "concealment of terrorist criminals."
According to the prosecutor, the two men were "experienced offenders," arguing that "in this particular context (the attacks), being on the run is anything but harmless."
A five-year prison sentence was sought for Youssef Ait Boulahcen, the cousin of Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the presumed mastermind of the attacks. He stands accused of not reporting a terrorist act.
Five days after 130 people were killed in France's worst terror attack on Nov. 13, 2015, the police killed Abaaoud in Bendaoud's flat in Saint-Denis near Paris.
Before his arrest, Bendaoud told French media he had been asked to do a favor and had no idea his hosts were extremists.
