German shares lose 1.25 pct Friday

FRANKFURT, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 152.81 points, or 1.25 percent, to close at 12,107.48 points.

Commerzbank lost the most among the blue chips, down by 4.46 percent, followed by European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 and manufacturing and electronics company Siemens, which lost 3.36 percent and 3.15 percent respectively.

Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group and multinational chemical firm Linde were the only two winners, rising 0.10 perccent and 0.06 percent respectively.

German multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 580.47 million euros (712.41 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
