LONDON, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- A man died on Wednesday after a crash between two vehicles on the airfield at Heathrow Airport, British police said.
Scotland Yard said that the man, aged in his 40s, died after the collision, which involved two members of staff driving vehicles on the taxiway near Terminal 5 just after 06:00 GMT.
The man died after he was taken to a west London hospital. Another man was treated at the scene.
Emergency services rushed to Terminal 5 at around 6 a.m. on Wednesday following reports of an "serious accident" involving the two people. And at least 25 flights were affected.
Hundreds of passengers on at least one British Airways plane were told to leave the aircraft following the incident.
Heathrow said it was not expecting an impact on journeys but some passengers reported delays on the tarmac and at their gates.
