PARIS, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Three skiers were killed in an avalanche in ski resort of Cauterets in the Pyrenees, local media reported on Thursday.
Two skiers, aged 38 years, went missing on Wednesday after the tracks' closure. A second alert for the disappearance of another 29-year-old skier was also issued after the snowslide, regional television France 3 Occitanie reported.
According to the report, rescue operation resumed earlier this morning after being suspended overnight due to bad weather condition.
They were found dead due to an avalanche that hit an off-piste area in the resort, it added.
Earlier this week, an avalanche killed a 19-year-old skier at Gavarnie-Gedre resort, southwest France.
