PARIS, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.48 percent, or 25.40 points, to close at 5,256.18 points.
A total of 30 of the 40 selected large companies lost in the day.
French multinational advertising and public relations company Publicis Groupe tumbled 2.01 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French water and waste group Veolia Environnement was down 1.66 percent. French multinational food products corporation Danone edged down 1.56 percent.
French multinational mass media conglomerate Vivendi advanced 0.53 percent, the top gainer of the day. French retail giant Carrefour gained 0.44 percent, while French multinational insurance firm AXA was up by 0.38 percent. Enditem
