Ouhua Group wins Professional Trajectory award from AEEPP in Spain

MADRID, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Grupo Ouhua Medios de Comunicacion SL which is based in Spain, was on Monday night given the Professional Trajectory Award by the Spanish Association of Editors of Periodicals (AEEPP) for its 15 years of service.

Isabel Diaz, deputy councilor to the presidency and justice in the Madrid regional authorities (Comunidad de Madrid), and AEEPP President Arsensio Escolar gave the award to Ouhua Group President Qiu Chengqian.

Qiu thanked readers for their support and said the group had"shown great discipline in offering clear, precise and correct information."

"We will continue being a newspaper with opinion, analysis and content," he added.

Ouhua's main publications are the newspaper Ouhua which is in Chinese language and has printed and digital versions, and El Mandarin which is available in Spanish and moved to digital format in 2012 following six years in print.

Ouhua was founded in December 2002 and has its headquarters in Madrid. It is not the first time Ouhua Group's work has been recognized with an award as 2007 saw it receiving the prize for the "best media for immigrants", beating candidates from dozens of companies and publications for immigrants from over 20 different nations.
