KIEV, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's state electronic auction platform "ProZorro.Sale" won the international competition of anti-corruption projects "Shield in the Cloud," the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry said Wednesday.
The "ProZorro.Sale" project was recognized by the jury as an anti-corruption instrument that can be an example for other countries, the ministry said in a statement on its website.
Launched in 2016, the "ProZorro.Sale" project has helped the Ukrainian government to sell about 222 million U.S. dollars of toxic banks' assets through online auction.
Currently, the Ukrainian government auctions off the assets of various state and municipal enterprises through the "ProZorro.Sale" electronic auction.
More than 60 projects have been entered in the competition of "Shield in the Cloud," which was organized by the international investment firm C5. The prizes were awarded in the three categories "Dream Big," "Not for Profit" and "Government."
The Ukrainian project was nominated in the category of "Government."
