MINSK, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on Ukraine is preparing a new Donbas truce, Martin Sajdik, special representative of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), a member of the TCG, said on Wednesday.

Sajdik said while a decision has not yet been made, the warring sides -- Ukraine government and separatists -- have expressed their intention to pull back forces and hardware near the Stanitsa Luganskaya area on March 5, subject to full compliance with the ceasefire.

Sajdik said the two sides have also stressed the importance of taking care of civilian infrastructure, including schools, child daycare centers and hospitals.

Though ceasefire violations had substantially declined in Donbas during Christmas and the New Year festive period, they flared up again in February.

The next meeting of the TCG -- a group of representatives from Ukraine, the Russian Federation and the OSCE -- will take place on March 14.

The violence in Donbas in east Ukraine broke out in March 2014 as separatist forces clashed with government forces. There have been dozens of ceasefires after the conflict erupted.
