HANOI, March 5 (Xinhua) -- The Political Bureau under the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) assigned Politburo member Tran Quoc Vuong, head of the CPVCC's Inspection Commission, to replace Dinh The Huynh and take the post of Executive Secretary of the CPVCC's Secretariat, Vietnam News Agency reported on Monday.
On March 2, the Political Bureau held a meeting chaired by CPVCC's General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, and decided to relieve Dinh The Huynh from the posts of Executive Secretary of the CPVCC's Secretariat and Chairman of CPVCC's Central Theoretical Council, so that he can continue his long-term illness treatment plans.
Also on March 2, the Political Bureau decided that Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of the CPVCC, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City National Academy of Politics, and Vice Chairman of the CPVCC's Central Theoretical Council, would take the post of the council's chairman.
