RAMALLAH, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah said Tuesday that the Gaza bombing that targeted his convoy will not refrain his government's efforts to retain full empowerment in all sectors.

He also demanded Islamic Hamas movement to hand over all powers to the national unity government.

Hamdallah's statement came upon his arrival to his West Bank office in Ramallah, following his quick visit to Gaza to attend opening ceremony of the Gaza desalination water plant.

"We demand Hamas to hand over what we've asked it to hand over, particularly the internal security. There will be no real presence of the government without handling the internal security," said Hamdallah to reporters in front of his Ramallah office.

"This incident will not stop us from our work in Gaza Strip and will not stop us from the national reconciliation," he added.

The Palestinians on Tuesday have largely condemned blowing up a roadside bomb as the convoy of vehicles of Prime Minister of the Palestinian consensus government Rami Hamdallah and chief of security intelligence service Majid Faraj passed by in northern Gaza Strip.

Hamdallah and Faraj arrived on Tuesday morning from the West Bank city of Ramallah to the Gaza Strip through Erez crossing point on the borders between northern Gaza Strip and Israel.

As soon as the convoy of the two senior officials crossed the checkpoint and drove a couple of kilometres into the coastal enclave, just near the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun, a roadside bomb had suddenly exploded right after the convoy of some 20 vehicles and cars already passed by.
