Yi Gang nominated to head China's central bank

BEIJING, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Yi Gang was nominated Monday as governor of the People's Bank of China, the central bank, by Premier Li Keqiang at the ongoing session of the national legislature.

Nearly 3,000 deputies to the 13th National People's Congress will vote on the nomination at a plenary meeting.
