FRANKFURT, March 20 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 90.31 points, or 0.74 percent, to close at 12,307.33 points.
German material Manufacturer Covestro won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.95 percent. Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group rose by 2.06 percent and 2.02 percent respectively.
Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.62 percent. Telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom and personal-care company Beiersdorf down by 1.09 percent and 1.05 percent respectively.
German multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 250.43 million euros (307.42 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
