RIO DE JANEIRO, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Colombian striker Miguel Borja continued his rich vein of scoring form as Brazil's Palmeiras beat Peruvian side Alianza Lima in their Copa Libertadores group match on Tuesday.

Borja struck from close range just after halftime after Thiago Martins gave the hosts the lead with a cool 10th-minute finish at Allianz Parque.

Former Atletico Nacional forward, Borja has now netted nine times in 17 matches across all competitions for Palmeiras this year.

The result left Palmeiras five points clear at the top of Group H , with second-placed Boca Juniors having a game in hand.

In other matches on Tuesday Libertad won 3-0 at home to The Strongest, Universidad de Chile were held to a 1-1 draw by Racing Club in Santiago and Nacional drew 0-0 at Real Garcilaso.
