TOKYO, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened lower Tuesday as investor sentiment was soured by solid gains on Wall Street being pared in later trade overnight after a report that the FBI had raided the New York office of Michael Cohen, U.S. President Donald Trump's personal lawyer.

As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 101.54 points, or 0.47 percent, from Monday to 21,576.72.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 6.42 points, or 0.37 percent, at 1,719.46.
