Dollar stays in upper 108 yen on higher U.S. yields

TOKYO, April 24 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar stayed in the upper 108 yen zone Tuesday in Tokyo on the recent rise in long-term U.S. Treasury yields.

At 5:00 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 108.88-90 yen compared with 108.65-75 yen in New York and 107.90-92 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday. It moved between 108.67 yen and 108.91 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2195-2197 dollars and 132.78-82 yen against 1.2204-2214 dollars and 132.65-75 yen in New York and 1.2264-2265 dollars and 132.33-37 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon.
