8 injured as twin blasts hit security forces' camp in SW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, April 24 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people were injured including six security personnel when twin blasts went off in Pakistan's southwest Quetta city on Tuesday, local Urdu TV channels reported.

According to the reports, the explosions occurred in the Mian Gundi of Quetta, the provincial capital of the country's southwestern Balochistan province.

The attack happened near a security forces' camp, the reports added. The nature of the explosion has not been officially confirmed yet, but some reports said that the attack was carried out by two suicide bombers.

Security forces and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital in the city. Security forces have condoned off the area and kicked off a search operation.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
