TOKYO, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares inched up Thursday morning on upbeat earnings releases of technology companies as well as the yen's weakness.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 130.92 points, or 0.59 percent, from Wednesday to 22,346.24.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 4.25 points, or 0.24 percent, at 1,771.98.
Gainers were led by electric appliance, machinery and metal product issues.
