HELSINKI, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Three people died and two others were seriously injured after three cars collided on the road between Konnevesi and Suolahti, central Finland, on Monday, local media reported.
A teenage girl and a man died immediately after the accident, and another middle-aged man died of injuries on the way to the hospital.
A 10-year-old boy and a woman were taken to the hospital for treatment, reported Finnish national broadcaster Yle.
According to the preliminary information from police, a car from the direction of Konnevesi and another car from Suolahti collided first, and then a third car from Suolahti collided with the first two cars.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
