MUMBAI, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets opened higher Wednesday despite weakness in Asian stocks, backed by auto sales data.
The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex opened at 35,277.06, 116.70 point or 0.37 percent up compared to its previous close at 35,160.36.
