KIEV, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine is holding negotiations with four countries of Latin America over launching a visa-free travel mechanism, a senior Ukrainian Foreign Ministry official said on Friday.

Sergiy Minyailo, head of the ministry's consular and legal affairs department, told local media that in the near future, Ukraine plans to sign visa-free agreements with Peru, Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico.

Currently, Ukraine has the visa-free mechanism with 85 countries around the globe, Minyailo said.

Last year, about 14.6 million foreign tourists visited Ukraine, while 26.4 million Ukrainians travelled abroad.
