NEW DELHI, May 16 (Xinhua) -- India's meteorological department Wednesday issued a fresh warning of thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds in the national capital and its outskirts.

The advisory came hours after a massive dust storm hit Delhi and national capital region (NCR) early Wednesday at around 3:00 a.m. local time, uprooting trees and disrupting power supply.

India's state-run broadcaster All India Radio (AIR), quoting the latest warning, said thunderstorm accompanied by gusty winds would very likely take place at isolated places.

AIR quoted police as saying that an 18-year-old man was killed and 13 people injured in the dust storm that hit Delhi Wednesday morning.

Wednesday's storm was the second of its kind to hit the national capital in the past four days.

On Sunday, heavy dust storm, followed by rain and lightning, also hit the city and several states, claiming 90 lives, besides injuring over 150.

Last week 18 people were killed in thunderstorm and rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier this month at least 124 people were killed and more than 300 others injured in five Indian states due to dust storms, thunderstorms and lightning.
