MOSCOW, May 16 (Xinhua) -- A cross-country vehicle sank in a rivulet in Russia's northern Komi Republic, killing seven people, the republican division of the Russian Investigative Committee said Wednesday.
"According to preliminary data, the vehicle carrying workers attempted to cross a forest rivulet. There were nine people in the vehicle, two of whom managed to get out," it said in a statement.
Rescue groups are working on site and measures have been taken to establish the cause of the accident, it said.
