TOKYO, May 18 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar hovered in the upper 110 yen zone Friday in Tokyo on further gains in long-term U.S. Treasury yields.
At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 110.89-90 yen compared with 110.72-82 yen in New York and 110.54-56 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday. It moved between 110.77 yen and 111.00 yen during the day.
The euro fetched 1.1812-1813 dollars and 130.99-131.03 yen against 1.1788-1798 dollars and 130.58-68 yen in New York and 1.1821-1823 dollars and 130.67-71 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
