FRANKFURT, May 18 (Xinhua) -- German stocks lost on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 36.89 points, or 0.28 percent, to close at 13,077.72 points.
German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom lost 4.87 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by automotive manufacturer BMW and airlines Lufthansa, which lost 4.25 percent and 2.35 percent respectively.
Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel gained 1.76 percent, the top gainer. Housing association Vonovia advanced 0.90 percent, and Chemical group BASF went up by 0.58 percent.
German multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer was the most traded share, with a turnover of 372.42 million euros (438.74 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
