CHICAGO, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Two people are in critical condition and a suspect is in custody after a shooting happened Friday morning at a middle school in the U.S. Midwest state of Indiana, local media reported.
The shooting was reported shortly after 8 a.m. local time (1200 GMT) Friday at Noblesville West Middle School. Noblesville is located north of the state capital Indianapolis.
According to police, one victim was a 13-year-old girl, the other wounded was an adult.
Local media WGN 9 reported that the situation is contained and the suspect is in custody. Police were reported to be on the scene, and the school was on lockdown.
A teacher inside the school said students were being moved to Noblesville High School, according to reports.
