WASHINGTON, May 29 (Xinhua) -- A domestic shooting incident left four dead Monday in the U.S. state of Tennessee, according to local authorities.
Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh of Rutherford County said a 38-year-old man shot his wife, her father and her stepmother, before committing suicide.
The bodies were found by police who responded to gunshot reports.
Fitzhugh said the shooter was taken to a local hospital Friday after expressing suicidal thoughts, and all firearms were removed from the residence. But it is unclear what had happened over the weekend.
The case is under further investigation.
