AYBAK, Afghanistan, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Provincial health director of Afghanistan's northern Samangan province lost his life and another got injured as a blast struck the director's car in provincial capital Aybak on Tuesday, police spokesman said.
"Head of provincial health department and chief of provincial hospital Ekramudin Wakilzada was killed and his driver sustained injuries as a blast struck his car at noon today," provincial police spokesman Mohammad Munir Rahimi told Xinhua.
Without providing more details, the official said investigation had been initiated into the incident.
