28 Ukrainians injured in road accident in Hungarian capital

KIEV, May 29 (Xinhua) -- 28 Ukrainian citizens were injured in a road accident in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mariana Betsa said on Tuesday.

According to the preliminary data, eight people sustained serious injuries, Betsa tweeted, without giving further details.

Earlier in the day, local media reported that a double-decker bus from Ukraine with 50 passengers on board rammed into a height limiter on late Monday near the Budapest Ferenc Liszt airport.

According to the reports, the collision cleaved the roof of the upper deck, causing multiple casualties.

The cause of the accident remains unknown.
