NAIROBI, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's top try scorer Collins Injera says he believes that a top performance by teammate Billy Odhiambo will be instrumental for an epic finish at the final leg of the Sevens World Series in Paris this weekend.

Kenya surpassed their point target in London on Saturday where they won the Challenge Trophy to see their tally jump to 101 points.

This was one point beyond their 100 mark and the team believes they still have a chance to add the cherry on the cake by winning the Paris Leg.

"I love the memories that Twickenham [London] holds for me. This weekend London was special for the team. We broke the 100+ points mark for the first time in Kenyan history. A target we hoped to achieve at the end of the season, but did it with one tournament to spare," Injera told Xinhua on Monday.

The pools and match schedule have been announced for the final round of the World Rugby Sevens Series' which will be hotly contested over three days in Paris from June 8-10.

With Fiji only seven points clear of South Africa at the top of the men's standings, it promises to be a thrilling finale to the series with both titles very much in play.

The men's pool draw sees series leaders Fiji in a tough group with third placed New Zealand, Kenya and Samoa in Pool A.

South Africa, who are hot on the heels of Fiji have been drawn to play Canada, Russia and Scotland.

Pool C sees Ireland fresh from their surprise bronze medal triumph in London take on Australia, Wales and Spain. In Pool D hosts France are drawn with England, Argentina and USA. The men's competition begins on Saturday.

"It is a tough group but we also have strong men in our team to fight it out," said head coach Innocent Simiyu.

"It is a good stage to show our fans what we are able to do. It would be good to bow out of the series with a Main Cup victory."

At the bottom end of the standings, relegation matters will be resolved as one women's and one men's team will drop out of the core teams for the 2018-19 series to be replaced by China (women) and Japan (men) respectively following their victories at the qualification event in Hong Kong in April.

Russia currently occupies the relegation spot in the men's series, while Japan are in danger of dropping out of the women's series. After Paris, the focus will turn to the World Cup Sevens in San Francisco, USA in July.
