PARIS, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Floods triggered by heavy rainfall killed one person in L'Eure, north France, France Info radio reported on Tuesday.
The man, aged 37, was found dead early on Tuesday in his vehicle on a road in Piseux, the report said.
According to the investigation, the drowned man is believed to have lost control of his car that overturned into water.
Torrential rainfall has caused floods which have plunged parts of northern France into chaos.
French weather agency Meteo France put 28 regions in northeast and southwestern France under orange alert on Monday due to storms and strong rainfall. The alert is in place in these areas until Wednesday morning.
