KIEV, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The Ukrainian parliament on Thursday endorsed Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman's proposal to relieve Finance Minister Olexandr Danylyuk of his duties.

The proposal was supported by 254 lawmakers out of 344 present in the 450-seat assembly, said a statement on the parliament website.

Last week, Groysman asked the parliament to dismiss Danylyuk, accusing him of "provoking conflict during the cabinet meeting" and "spreading false information among Ukraine's international partners."

Danylyuk, 42, served as an investment manager in several private companies and as the deputy head of the presidential administration before being appointed a finance minister in April 2016.
