BEIJING, June 8 (Xinhua) -- The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of several officials on Friday.
Gao Peiyong was appointed vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Li Xiaohong was appointed president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Chen Zuoning, Zhong Zhihua, Deng Xiuxin, He Huawu and Wang Chen were appointed vice presidents of the academy.
Xie Chuntao was appointed vice president of the Chinese Academy of Governance.
Hu Bing was appointed deputy head of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
Liu Shuguang is no longer deputy head of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
