TOKYO, June 11 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar climbed to the 110 yen line Monday in Tokyo ahead of the summit between leaders of the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
At 5:00 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 109.96-97 yen compared with 109.51-61 yen in New York and 109.41-42 yen in Tokyo at 5:00 p.m. Monday. It moved between 109.38 yen and 110.06 yen during the day.
The euro fetched 1.1803-1804 dollars and 129.79-83 yen against 1.1765-1775 dollars and 128.88-98 yen in New York and 1.1780-1781 dollars and 128.89-93 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon.
