FRANKFURT, June 13 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 48.28 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 12,890.58 points.
German airlines Lufthansa gained the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.42 percent. Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer and manufacturing and electronics company Siemens rose by 2.63 percent and 2.21 percent respectively.
Building materials company HeidelbergCement lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.71 percent. German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom and energy group E.ON went down by 1.38 percent and 1.02 percent respectively.
Bayer was the most-traded share with a turnover of 644.00 million euros (757.60 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
