THE HAGUE, June 18 (Xinhua) -- One person died and three others were seriously injured Monday morning after they were hit by a van near the site of an ongoing music festival in the south of the Netherlands, local media reported.
The van fled the scene and the police is still searching for it.
The hit-and-run took place around 4.00 am local time (0200GMT) on the public road Mensheggerweg in the southern Dutch city of Landgraaf, near the site of a three-day music festival that draws thousands of fans. The visitors were expected to leave the site before noon on Monday morning.
It is not known yet if the collision was intentional or an accident.
