SINGAPORE, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.44 percent or 14.55 points to close at 3315.90.
A total of 1.90 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.18 billion Singapore dollars (about 874.1 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 254 to 154.
The STI index closed down 0.68 percent or 22.69 points to close at 3301.35 Tuesday.
