HONG KONG, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 228.02 points, or 0.77 percent, to 29,696.17 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 29,406.2 and 29,944.3. Turnover totaled 109.83 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 13.99 billion U.S. dollars).
