TEHRAN, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday condemned the Saudi-led military offensive to seize Yemen's port city of Hodeidah.
The assault on Hodeidah is another indicator of "the evil nature of bullying powers," Khamenei said according to the state TV.
This "bloody" and "criminal" attack on Hodeidah is contributed by a number of countries possessing advanced weapons and with an aim to strip the Yemeni people of their control over a vital seaport, he said.
Saudi-led coalition has been involved in a war in Yemen against Shiite Houthis since 2015 in support of the exiled Yemeni government.
