Chinese shares close higher at midday

BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.35 percent to end at 2,885.97 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.7 percent to end at 9,388.67 points.
