Djokovic reaches 1st final in nearly a year at Queen's club

LONDON, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Former world number one Novak Djokovic of Serbia defeated Frenchman Jeremy Chardy 7-6(5), 6-4 on Saturday to reach his first championship match at Queen's club in almost a year.

He will meet top seed and 2012 champion Marin Cilic of Croatia in Sunday's final.

"It is a special moment for me. Obviously I have been hoping to get here and working hard for it. So now that I get a chance to fight for a trophy in one of the biggest tournaments in the grass-court season, it means a lot to me," Djokovic said. "I'm really pleased with the way I have played throughout the whole week."
