TOKYO, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A dozen people were injured when a bus carrying more than 30 tourists crashed into a truck inside a tunnel on Wednesday in Morioka City, northeastern Japan, local police said.
The collision occurred at around 9:30 a.m. local time on a road in Iwate Prefecture, the police said.
They also said the accident happened on a single-lane national road.
While many tourists on the bus sustained injuries as a result of the crash, the police said the truck driver apparently did not sustain any injuries.
