WASHINGTON, July 10 (Xinhua) -- A family of five, including three children under the age of seven, died in a "murder-suicide" incident in Delaware, northeastern United States, authorities said Tuesday.
Police said the husband, Matthew Edwards, 42, gunned down his wife, Julie Edwards, 41, and three young children including a 6-year-old boy, 4-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy on Monday night before turning the gun on himself.
Their bodies were found at their home in Prices Corner, state of Delaware, according to local reports.
Their deaths have been identified as "murder-suicide by gunshot," police said. The Delaware State Police homicide unit is making further investigation.
