LONDON, July 13 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.14 percent, or 10.54 points, to close at 7,661.87 points.
Micro focus international,a multinational software and information technology business, soared 4.67 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Dcc and Burberry group increased by 3.70 percent and 2.53 percent, respectively.
Randgold resources,a gold mining business, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 1.65 percent. Imperial brands, a British multinational tobacco company , dropped 1.15 percent. Whitbread, a British multinational hotel, fell 0.99 percent. Enditem
