ULAN BATOR, July 17 (Xinhua) -- The cost of dental check-ups and the treatment of Mongolian children aged between 2-12 will be funded by a national program, announced the Mongolian Ministry of Health on Tuesday.
"Tooth decay is the most prevalent chronic disease among Mongolian children," said the ministry in a statement, quoting worrying numbers.
The statement shows that 80-90 percent of Mongolian children aged between 2-12 suffer from dental decay, forcing the government to start a national "Healthy Teeth and Healthy Children" program to address the problem.
