CHANGCHUN, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Choi Jinhan, South Korean manager of Yanbian Beiguo in China's third tier league, said he was impressed by the enthusiasm of Chinese fans after snatching his first victory in charge of the club on Wednesday.

"I was overwhelmed by the love of fans for football here," said Choi.

"Although Hunchun (the home city for Yanbian) is only a county-level city, the stadium is always packed with fans on game day, which is not usually seen in my country."

Yanbian Beiguo are ranked 12th in the league standings. Choi took over the team in May. He was a South Korean international and a member of the South Korean team coaching staff in the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

"It still takes time to fully explore the potential of our players, and they need to do more job to show their professional skills," Choi added.

"Our team will adopt an attacking style because that's what makes football so charming," Choi said.
