Hong Kong stocks close 0.23 pct lower

HONG KONG, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed down 64.26 points, or 0.23 percent, to 28,117.42 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 28,045.47 and 28,386.38. Turnover totaled 76.22 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 9.71 billion U.S. dollars).
